Here is something to consider. It is extremely frustrating to watch people remain passive in the face of injustice. There are many reasons for this: diffusion of responsibility, explicit and implicit bias, fear, and enjoying one’s privileged status, to name a few. This of course is a long discussion but a worthwhile one to have. One thing is clear, unless we actively assert ourselves little will change. This will mean being informed, active, persistent and willing to take some risks.
