This Week’s Post: Indigenous People’s Day

Indigenous People’s Day. People in the U.S. and around the world have begun to question just what we are celebrating on Columbus Day. To some it represents physical and cultural genocide inflicted upon the indigenous populations by colonialism. Guns, Germs and Steel by Jared Diamond offers some interesting perspectives. 1491: New Revelations of the Americas by Charles Mann is a good read also. Here are a couple of sites to take a look at:
